Can't Believe It

THIS is what I'm talking about with our industry! Always with the bad news; always a leading, "startling and gruesome" story.

When are we going to drum up some positive funeral energy?!

Feliz Navidad

Artco would like to wish Harry Poplawski, sales representative out of our Chicago-based warehouse, a happy and prosperous retirement. Harry attended his last Illinois state convention last week. A reception was held at the Capital Room of the Crowne Plaza Hotel last Monday in his honor (pictured, center).

Mike Virelli will be handling Mr. Poplawski's former accounts post-retirement. (We'll be posting a fitting introduction for Mike at a later time.)

Thank you, Harry, for all your hard work through the years.

Tabloid Junkie

The countdown has begun here in the Midwest until the time that various and sundry cable and news outlets begin coverage of the Gloved One's public memorial....what do you expect from today's televised service?

We're sendin' out / A major love / And this is our / Message to you / The planets are linin' up / We're bringin' brighter days / They're all in line / Waitin' for you / Can't you see...? / You're just another part of me.

Like you thought I could help but quote an MJ song for this article.

Tuesday Afternoon

Okay, so it was actually a Wednesday afternoon, but the title of the post (sung by the Moody Blues) is relevant in that Christian and Nicole Moody stopped by Artco's home office to visit company president Roger Sevedge.  Kansas locals may remember Christian from his playing days for the University of Kansas men's basketball team.  Kentucky fans may remember him as the "greatest walk-on ever," as referred  to  by Billy Packer during a telecast.  As you can see in the photo, he's a lot taller than the rest of us in the office.

You never know who is going to stop by Artco these days!
